
Stent grafts are composed of a metal stent and a polymer coating. They are used to reconstruct diseased vascular pathways. The coating is typically woven from materials such as PET, PE, and (e)PTFE.
The main types of woven coatings are woven and knitted.
Woven membranes offer a dense and uniform weave and ultra-thin thickness, demonstrating excellent strength, blood blockage, and release properties. They are widely used in medical devices for aorta, peripheral, and structural heart applications.
The interlocking coil structure of knitted membranes gives the fabric a high thickness, high elasticity, and excellent extensibility. They are suitable for filling, sealing, and fixation applications, and are widely used in valves and artificial blood vessels.
